What is Pearl PUNKS?+
Pearl PUNKS is the genesis NFT collection on the Pearl network — a Proof-of-Useful-Work L1 blockchain where mining rewards come from real AI computation. Each PUNK is a unique 1-of-10,000 generative piece permanently anchored to a PoUW block.
How does minting work?+
Connect your Pearl wallet, choose how many PUNKs to mint (up to 10 per session), and send the exact PRL amount to your personal deposit address. The moment your payment is confirmed on-chain, the NFT is registered to your address — no approvals, no gas surprises.
How much does one PUNK cost?+
The mint price is 5 PRL per PUNK. Price is fixed for the entire public sale — no bonding curves, no whitelist tiers. First come, first minted.
Do I need a custodial account?+
No. Pearl PUNKS uses a fully non-custodial wallet — your 12-word seed phrase is generated in the browser and never leaves your device. The vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM (PBKDF2, 600k iterations) and stored only in your local browser storage.
What if I close the tab before payment?+
Your reservation stays active for 30 minutes. If payment arrives within that window, the PUNK is minted to your address automatically. After expiry the deposit address is recycled and you can start a fresh reservation at no cost.
Can I mint multiple PUNKs at once?+
Yes — up to 10 per session. The multi-mint flow prepares all reservations upfront, then sends one transaction per PUNK using the change output of the previous payment. Each NFT is reserved with a unique deposit address and confirmed independently.
Are traits assigned randomly?+
Yes. At the time of minting, a random available PUNK from the 10,000-piece pool is reserved for you using database-level locking (FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED). No one — not even the team — can influence which token you receive.
What are the Rewards and how do they work?+
Holding a PUNK entitles you to a share of the weekly PRL Drop Pool. 70% is split equally across all held PUNKs; the remaining 30% is weighted by rarity score (Trait Multiplier Pool). The rarer your PUNK, the larger your multiplier.
When does the Marketplace open?+
The Marketplace is currently in final review. It will open after the mint reaches a healthy supply threshold. Once live, you'll be able to list, buy and track floor price directly — all settled in PRL on Pearl mainnet.
How do I verify my NFT on-chain?+
Every minted PUNK has a confirmed transaction ID on Pearl mainnet. You can look it up in the Pearl Explorer at any time — the token index, owner address and mint block are all public and immutable. No off-chain database needed to prove ownership.
